The Narnia Door

This little faun sits perched near an ornately carved door across from the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin. At the center of the wooden door is a wise lion. Since C.S. Lewis taught just down High Street at Magdalen College, I imagine that he saw this door quite a bit. Did the door inspire Lewis to dream up Mr. Tumnus or Aslan? Hmm. – Doug
